Come As You Are

The idea of Antler Peak is to give you a place to build a story on the foundation of the county’s lore, without walls, rails, or unnecessary structure. The philosophy is simple: come as you are.

Want to start fresh with something new? That works here.

Already have a character from another county or server? You can bring them with you.

When you arrive in Antler Peak for the first time, you’re already something more than just human, meaning your race, abilities, and core identity are already part of you. You arrive ready to go, right off the train, boat, or horse, and you’re free to jump straight into roleplay. There are no hoops to jump through; the system provides your race’s skills and tools immediately. Antler Peak‘s lore is there for you to seek out when you are ready.

Storms encircle the borders of the county, and you passed through them to get here. They mark where the county of Antler Peak ends and the rest of the world begins, ever-present and constant. How these storms affect your memory is entirely up to you.

Want to arrive as an amnesiac? Let your past fade slowly over time? Keep certain memories while losing others? Have memories only surface when someone tied to your past appears? Or remember everything?

There’s no correct choice here. This is about what helps your roleplay feel comfortable and grounded.

Here’s why this works:
Your character’s past becomes context, not living history. It informs who you are, but it does not create active server canon unless it happens here. Powers and influences from other regions stay there.

Thanks to the storms, you decide how much or how little you carry with you. How you respond to others who may share that past, if at all, is entirely your choice.

This mechanic is entirely optional and intended to allow players to continue playing their beloved characters without having to rebuild completely from the ground up. Even if your character is a new creation, perhaps this mechanic could inspire an origin story. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to Staff on our Discord.

What about my special (ability, item, etc.)?

When you arrive in Antler Peak, your shape in the world is adjusted to fit the reality that you’ve just stepped into. You have immediate access to the core skills and abilities that are a basic part of your Gift (also known as race), but anything beyond those core mechanics are part of your backstory and the context that shaped your character, not server canon.

Feel free to roleplay certain abilities (visions, telepathy, etc.) within reason, but they will not be backed by server mechanics, only fair play roleplay. The same goes for special items, though how they are treated going forward is entirely up to you. Did they degrade, did their power fade away or go dormant?

Feel free to open a ticket with the Staff if you have questions about how this works.

Sharing Server History

If you are bringing your character into the county, there may be complications to which degree others will remember you. For instance, you may have a character that shared a common server with another player who you do not wish to remember. Should this occur, you are more than welcome to RP not knowing said person, but you cannot claim them as to not knowing you.

Your character may have forgotten them, and therefore stricken them from your personal backstory. But you cannot expect them to do the same.

Character Limitations

If you are bringing a character from another server that either had “Special Character” status or any form of special abilities/history. You must open a ticket with the lore team to discuss their implementation. Failure to do so, and discovery of the use of unapproved RP tools/concepts, may lead to action being taken to remove or change your character.

Non-Corporeal Characters

If you come to Antler Peak as a character that has no physical form, you will be bound to a physical form. Passing through the storms that surround the county have a permanent binding effect on such spiritual entities.

Still Unsure?

If you are unsure as to how to implement your character here, it is always better to open a ticket before going ahead. It is better to be safe than sorry, in the case that your character breaches any guidelines.
